Food and stuff

If you had a Bentley, what kind of gas would you put in it?

If your body is worth way more than any car (not millions, priceless), you should put the best possible fuel in it. - Paraphrased from a cancer Dr.

Misc

Vitamin D, like C, is real important. But thankfully it's free - sunshine. You should expose you arms and/or legs to sunshine everyday if possible, even in the winter. But shade/sunblock your face - sun is generally bad for your face.

Placebos actually work surprisingly often. Even in terminal cases. Think about that.

Drink water. Ever noticed that sometimes when you're hungry, you're actually just thirsty for water.

Vitamin C all winter. Our rule is from November to March you should eat one little orange everyday (like an apple a day keeps the doctor away, except an orange a day keeps the cold away).

The more processed the food, the worse it is for you. Nothing better than raw meat, fruit and vegetables from the grocery store straight to your stove.

Again, follow the money

Exercise equipment, vitamin shakes/pills, incessant diet fads, gym memberships...

Why do you think you don't hear everyday that all you need to do is like some pushups, situps, and go for a run. Because no business can make any money telling people that!

Why do you think you don't hear magazines say - just follow the now 75 year old food pyramid which will give you all the vitamins and nutrition you need? Because that doesn't sell magazines.

Sorry, do I sound angry? Anyway, just another example of "follow the money".

Hey fatso, it doesn't matter what you eat.

Yep, I said it. It doesn't matter what you eat. People spend so much energy on what they eat. They're barking up the wrong tree. No, you can't eat sticks of butter for breakfast, but staying physically active is way more important. Live by this: An APPROXIMATELY mediterranean diet - DONE! Spend the rest of your energy making sure you don't sit on your ass all day.

This, btw, is backed up by multiple articles on evolution gleaned, mainly, from National Geographic. We evolved to eat a fresh omnivorous diet. We also evolved to NOT sit in a desk chair all day.

Free exercise

Take the stairs, park at the back of the parking lot, bike to work.

Games are funner than workouts.

In my opinion, a treadmill is a job, playing soccer is fun; find a physical hobby. Btw, games exercise your brain too.

Basketball, softball, hiking - asll stuff you can do your whole life.
